I’d include Timber Creek Overlook for a walk on the trails.

The Grand Circle hosts some of the most bizarre landscapes on Earth, all just a few hours apart. From tiny beautiful canyons like Antelope to the Grand Canyon itself, with tons of outworldly places in between — this road trip will blow your mind.

Timber Creek Overlook is a scenic viewpoint on the east side of the park near. The overlook offers panoramic views of the Checkerboard Mesa formation and the surrounding desert landscape.

The trail to the overlook is relatively short and easy, making it a popular stop for visitors. Along the way, you will pass through a series of switchbacks and a narrow tunnel before emerging at the viewpoint.

In addition to the stunning views, Timber Creek Overlook is also a popular spot for wildlife viewing. You may see bighorn sheep, deer, and other animals in the surrounding hills and valleys. We recommend visiting the overlook to watch the sunset, as the warm glow of the setting sun casts a golden hue over the nearby rocks and mountains.
