I’d go to Mistico Hanging Bridges Park for mountain lake views.

Costa Rica blew our minds when we first visited. Stunning nature, abundant wildlife, scenic beaches, all paired up with incredibly thoughtful stays — a true nature lover's paradise. We invite you to experience this place with our curated activities, hand-picked stays, and crafted plans.

Mistico Hanging Bridges Park is a lush rainforest reserve famous for its impressive network of hanging bridges. You can walk a well-maintained trail that spans about 2 miles and includes several suspended bridges, offering panoramic views of the canopy and opportunities to observe diverse wildlife from a unique vantage point.

Guided tours enhance the experience, as knowledgeable guides point out the flora and fauna, including monkeys, sloths, birds, and exotic plants that are often hidden in the dense vegetation.

TIP: For a different experience, you can join an early morning birdwatching tour or a night tour to witness the forest’s nocturnal creatures. Check out the links section for top-rated tours vetted by our experts.

The park’s design allows for a relatively easy hike suitable for most ages and fitness levels, and it has accessible routes for those with mobility needs.
