Spring brings pleasant weather, it's not that crowdy, and prices are still lower than in summer. The official season starts on May 15th, so expect some businesses closed before this date.

Summer is the nicest time to visit with warm weather, active wildlife, and all activities open. Summer is also the busiest with crowds peaking in July. August weather is not always predictable.

Fall is very short in Alaska, lasting just a few weeks. Beautiful fall foliage starts in late August and ends in mid-September. September 15th is also the official end of the travel season with most of the activities closing.

Winter brings festivals, snowmobiling, Northern Lights, dog sledding tours, snowshoeing, and unique gorgeous scenery in Alaska. But we do not offer winter plans just yet. Stay tuned.

The Savage River Loop Trail is an easy scenic hiking trail that offers a leisurely stroll through picturesque landscapes of the Denali National Park.

The trail starts at the Savage River parking area (accessible by car) and follows the river, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The trail is well-maintained and features a combination of gravel path and boardwalks, making it accessible to a wide range of hikers, which in turn makes it pretty popular during summer months.

As you walk along the trail, keep an eye out for wildlife sightings. The area is known for its diverse wildlife population, including caribou, Dall sheep, and various bird species.

The highlight of the Savage River Loop Trail is the Savage River Suspension Bridge. Crossing this bridge provides a unique perspective of the river and its surroundings. It's a great spot to pause, take in the scenery, and capture memorable photos.
