Cinque Terre train pass: which card do you need?
Choose the Train Card for repeated regional-train journeys between Levanto and La Spezia. The Trekking Card is the trail-and-park product and does not include those trains. Count your actual rail legs and hiking days before buying a multi-day card; Via dell’Amore still needs the correct access reservation.

|---|---|---|
| Cinque Terre Treno MS Card | Unlimited second-class regional-train trips between Levanto and La Spezia, plus the included Park services. | Named traveler, valid ID, date and number of consecutive calendar days. |
| Cinque Terre Trekking Card | Access to the specified charged trails and included Park services; no regional-train travel. | Trail opening status and whether your chosen Via dell’Amore access is included and reserved. |
| Individual rail tickets | A specific rail journey rather than unlimited hop-on travel. | Origin, destination, date, applicable fare and validation instructions. |
| Boat tickets | A separate sailing product. | Departure harbour, stops, weather and last return. A rail card is not a ferry pass. |

Current published adult prices: November–December 2026
The National Park’s Train Card page publishes €17.30 for one day, €29.00 for two consecutive days and €34.00 for three consecutive days, valid November 2–December 31, 2026 for adults aged 12–69. These are per-person card prices, not per ride, group totals or live ticket availability.
A one-day card expires at the end of its stated calendar day. Two- and three-day cards end at midnight on the final consecutive date, rather than after 48 or 72 hours from first use. Children, over-70 travelers, families and eligible accommodation guests have different products or rates; check the correct category. The English Trenitalia standalone card page still displays a 2025–March 2026 table, so do not use that old winter price for this period.

Count journeys, not the number of villages
Write down each ride, including the trip from your base into the villages and the return. Walking from one village to the next may remove a train leg; changing accommodation may add a luggage journey. A simple out-and-back to one village is different from a day with several stops.
For a dated illustration only: during March 14–November 1, 2026, the published single-journey rail fares were €5, €8 or €10 by date band. The Park’s one-day adult Train Cards were €22, €29.50 or €35. At those rates, five A-band rides or four B/C-band rides cost more than the matching card on rail travel alone. Two rides cost less. This excludes any trail or other Park-service value; it is not a current winter or 2027 quote.

How the Fyno Cinque Terre plan changes the calculation
Fyno’s Cinque Terre Escape starts in Riomaggiore, visits Manarola, Corniglia and Vernazza on the next day, then spends time in Monterosso and Fegina. Its default saved plan has three coastal days plus a separate departure allowance. The selected first stay is The Sunset Line in Riomaggiore; later nights use Bellambra in Monterosso.
That structure creates different rail needs each day. Arrival day may need only the approach to Riomaggiore. The middle day can involve several village hops and moving luggage toward Monterosso. The final beach day may involve few rides before departure. Compare one busy-day card plus individual tickets against a three-day card; the route title alone does not establish which is cheaper.
The saved route also includes a sunset boat activity. Keep that purchase outside the train-card comparison, and check whether your particular hotel participates in a Park accommodation discount instead of assuming every Fyno stay qualifies.

Via dell’Amore: check the exact card and time slot
The Park lists Via dell’Amore among card services, while its access instructions distinguish cards that include that access from cards needing an additional reservation and fee. Verify the exact product at checkout; possession of a rail card is not an unrestricted walk-in guarantee.
The published visitor rules require a reserved date and time, with the standard tourist direction from Riomaggiore to Manarola. Check the current booking calendar and operating notice for your date. Older opening-hour tables on the information page include 2025 and early-2026 periods and should not be extrapolated into a future season.

Buy the named product and follow its validation rules
Use Trenitalia, its authorized ticket channels or the National Park’s official card portal. Select the correct travel date and traveler category, check names and validity, then retain the card and ID for inspection. When purchasing a paper or digital rail ticket, follow the validation instructions attached to that ticket type; do not assume a rule for one format applies to every other product.
An individual rail ticket is not a village-hopping pass. The operator’s seasonal fare instructions describe one direct journey with no intermediate stopovers and, where validation applies, a 75-minute validity after validation. For current winter journeys, price the actual stations and date in the official journey planner. Do not add a summer supplement to a winter fare by hand.

Keep rail works, trails and boats separate
A card does not reopen a closed trail or guarantee every scheduled train will run. Check Trenitalia service notices and the Park trail-status map before the trip, especially around planned works, heavy rain and busy walking periods. Leave time for station access, luggage and the final train to your overnight base.
For a walking day, choose the actual open path and direction first, then compare Trekking plus the rail tickets you need with the Train Card. If the trail closes, recalculate around a village day rather than treating the prepaid product as a reason to continue onto a closed route.
Before you make the plan.
Does the Cinque Terre Trekking Card include trains?
No. Regional-train travel between Levanto and La Spezia belongs to the Cinque Terre Treno MS Card. The Trekking Card covers the specified Park services and trails.
How much is the adult Train Card now?
For November 2–December 31, 2026, the National Park publishes €17.30 for one day, €29 for two consecutive days and €34 for three, per adult aged 12–69. Confirm the official price and category for your date; this is not a 2027 quote.
Does a three-day card last 72 hours?
No. It covers three consecutive calendar days and ends at midnight on the final day. A late start on day one does not move the expiry into a fourth date.
Does a Train Card guarantee entry to Via dell’Amore?
No. Check whether your exact product includes that access and reserve the required time slot. The Park’s access instructions explain additions for cards that do not include it.
