Besakih Temple, also known as the Mother Temple of Bali, is a complex of temples located on the slopes of Mount Agung in East Bali. The temple complex consists of over 86 temples and is considered the holiest and most important temple in Bali. Besakih Temple is also one of the largest and most complex temple sites in Bali, covering an area of 3.5 hectares.

The complex is believed to date back to the 8th century and is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, as well as other deities. The complex includes a number of individual temples, including the Pura Penataran Agung (the Great Temple of State), Pura Batu Madeg (the Temple of the Meeting Stone), and Pura Kiduling Kreteg (the Temple of the Oracle).
