Huka Falls

Huka Falls is a stunningly beautiful waterfall that marks the point at which the Waikato River narrows from 330 feet wide into a narrow canyon and then over a 65 feet drop. The resulting water flow is an impressive sight, with approximately 220,000 liters of water passing through every second.

You can witness the sheer force of the water from a variety of viewing platforms or take a scenic boat ride to the base of the falls (check the links section).

Aside from its natural beauty, Huka Falls is also a popular spot for outdoor activities, including jet boating, bungee jumping, and white water rafting. The area around the waterfall is a conservation area, offering the opportunity to take scenic walks through native forests, alongside the river, and over bridges offering stunning views of the falls.

We've seen thousands of impressive waterfalls worldwide, but Huka Falls holds a special place in our memory.
